Wood Stone Ovens (company)

Wood Stone Ovens is a US-based (Bellingham, WA) designer and manufacturer of large, commercial hearth ovens. The company has been in business for years, making industrial products before introducing their first wood-fired oven in 1990, and their first gas and gas-assist ovens in 1995. The company makes their ovens in the US in a 117,000 sq ft facility. They were acquired by Henry Penny Corp, a large manufacturer of food processing equipment (Eaton, OH) in 2014. Wood Stone Ovens tend to be found in institutional locations, such as zoos, supermarkets, airports and chain restaurants. One criticism is that they are not shaped or fueled properly to make true Pizza Napoletana and other authentic Italian pizzas.
