Fontana Forni, Italy (company)

Fontana Forni (San Lorenzo in Campo, Italy in the hills of the Marche)  is an Italian producer of metal direct-fired (black) pizza ovens and indirect-fired (white) outdoor oven, fired with wood, gas or hybrid burner systems. Fontana was started in 1946, after WWII, making agriculture equipment. They first made their name selling indirect-fired wood ovens in the early 2000s, and then in 2012 they introduced their first direct-fired pizza oven. They sell through a global network of distributors, including Fontana Forni, USA, which buys, stocks and resells the Fontana ovens in the USA.

It’s worth noting that Fontana Forni ovens are significantly more expensive in the US than they are in Italy, the UK and the rest of Europe.
