Cooking Floor Insulation

Pizza oven floor insulation refers to the layer of insulating material that is placed underneath the cooking floor of a pizza oven. The purpose of this insulation is to minimize heat loss through the floor and improve the overall energy efficiency of the oven. It helps to maintain high cooking temperatures while reducing the amount of fuel needed to achieve and sustain those temperatures. Common insulation materials used for pizza oven floors include ceramic fiber blankets, vermiculite, perlite, or a combination of these materials. These insulating materials have excellent thermal properties and can withstand high temperatures. The insulation layer is typically placed directly on top of the oven base or concrete slab and acts as a barrier, preventing heat from escaping downwards into the foundation. This results in a more efficient use of heat and improved heat retention within the cooking chamber, allowing for better and more consistent cooking performance.
